Welcome to Vanceboro Farmlife Elementary School. I believe students are the most important members of a school community. In order for our school environment to be conducive to student learning, appropriate conditions and appropriate strategies must be implemented to ensure all students can and will learn. The nature and quality of learning experiences must be exemplary. Creative thinking and analyzing skills are important in today’s technological society. Students must gain critical thinking skills along with knowledge. They must be taught how to learn and how to apply what they learn. Student performance must be evaluated frequently. Achievement data should be analyzed and instruction should be planned accordingly. All of these efforts will help students succeed.
I have worked in education for 6 years as a classroom teacher. I received my Bachelors in Political Science and History from Meredith College, my Masters in Teaching from ECU, and also my Masters of School Administration from ECU. I have a passion for education and the creation of rigorous curriculum. I look forward to working with you and your child in the year to come.
